Mesoron
Mesoron (Schizotheriinae) is a subfamily of the family Chalicotheriidae, a group of herbivorous, odd-toed ungulate (perissodactyl) mammals. Unlike the gorilla-like proportions of the chalico, the only living member of the Chalicotheriinae subfamily, mesorons have smaller body proportions, closer to those of the most famous species of native American mesoron, the Common American Mesoron (Moropus Elatus).
Unlike chalicos, mesorons cannot walk on their knuckles due to the wrist design, although some species can lift up their clawed forelimbs and raise them slightly as a warning to nearby predators. Some species of mesorons have thick domed skul
